The Evolving Legal Service Delivery Model
PRESS RELEASE
Blickstein Group Appoints Jim Gill as Head of Content and Storytelling
Irvine, Calif. — Feb. 5, 2026 — Blickstein Group, a research and advisory firm serving law firms, legal departments, and legal services providers, announced today that
Jim Gill has joined the firm as
head of content and storytelling.
Jim's approach emphasizes creative brand storytelling paired with high-quality writing to help organizations stand out in an increasingly crowded, AI-degraded content landscape. He will lead Blickstein Group’s content strategy and thought leadership projects, supporting the firm’s proprietary research and its clients’ offerings with clear, credible narratives that support business development and market positioning.
“While our clients are developing incredible AI-driven solutions for generating standard, repeatable outcomes, that is not what they need from their marketing. Real traction comes from intelligent brand storytelling and a clear understanding of how marketing and sales align,” said
Brad Blickstein, CEO of Blickstein Group. “Jim is known for creating the highest quality content in legal technology, and he brings unique ideas about the impact content should make, not just what it should say. This raises the bar on everything we deliver.”
Jim brings more than a decade of experience at the intersection of legal technology, legal media, and research-driven B2B marketing. Prior to joining Blickstein Group, he served as Features Editor at Today’s General Counsel, where he wrote and edited original and sponsored content on legal operations, law firm management, technology, cybersecurity, and regulatory risk. Jim’s work included in-depth interviews with some of the leading visionaries in the industry, including judges, law firm leaders, and legal technology executives, as well as the development of custom content programs for industry partners. He has also held senior content leadership roles at legal technology companies, including Hanzo, IPRO, and Exterro. Jim has been a regular contributor to eDiscovery Today and is a seven-time recipient of the JD Supra Readers’ Choice Award for Legal Technology writing.
“I first encountered Blickstein Group more than a decade ago when I entered the legal industry, and I’ve respected their work ever since,” Gill said. “They’re the best in the business, and I’m excited to join the team and help carry that work forward.”
Along with his experience in the legal field, Jim holds a BA in History and an MFA in Creative Writing, has completed postgraduate work in American Literature and Film Studies, and has taught writing at colleges and universities across the United States, including Southern Illinois University, the University of Oregon, and the University of Minnesota. He continues to publish creative work alongside his professional writing. His short story collection, Not Dark Yet (Castoff Press, 2024), was a Minnesota Book Award nominee, and his novel Carbon City, 1925, is forthcoming in Spring 2026.
