Jim Gill combines creative brand storytelling with high-quality writing and has established a reputation throughout the legal industry for helping organizations stand out in an increasingly crowded, AI-saturated content landscape. He brings more than a decade of experience at the intersection of legal technology, legal media, and research-driven B2B marketing. Before joining Blickstein Group, he served as Features Editor at Today’s General Counsel, where he wrote and edited original and sponsored content on legal operations, law firm management, technology, cybersecurity, and regulatory risk. Jim’s work included in-depth interviews with some of the leading visionaries in the industry, including judges, law firm leaders, and legal technology executives, as well as the development of custom content programs for industry partners. He has also held senior content leadership roles at several legal technology companies, including Hanzo, IPRO, and Exterro. Jim has been a regular contributor to eDiscovery Today and is a seven-time recipient of the JD Supra Readers’ Choice Award for Legal Technology writing. Jim holds a BA in History and an MFA in Creative Writing, has done postgraduate work in American Literature and Film Studies, and has taught writing at several colleges and universities across the U.S., including Southern Illinois University, the University of Oregon, and the University of Minnesota. He continues to write and publish creative work alongside his professional writing. His short story collection, Not Dark Yet (Castoff Press, 2024), was a Minnesota Book Award nominee, and his novel Carbon City, 1925, is forthcoming in spring 2026.
